Really just a cable a bracket you bolt to the tranny pan and a bracket for the trans shift selector shaft. No shift on the fly but it worked every time. I know the 1963 s offered a floor mounted shift but not in 1962 model. I m an old fashioned give me manual lock outs a floor shifter type of guy.

This shifter assembly will control the up shifts and down shifts on the pace performance 6l80e or 6l9e automatic transmission package. On mine i just removed all of the shifter parts ground down the hump where the shift lever mounts filled the hole and repainted. My questions are will the 63 fit correctlly in the 62 without major mods.
